Appium 2 Gauge
HookImp
When writing tests with Appium 2, it’s important to create a Hook class to perform the necessary setup and teardown operations at the beginning and end of the test scenarios. This class ensures that the proper test environment is prepared and maintained.
StepImp
The StepImplementation class defines various steps used during test scenarios, such as clicking on elements, waiting for elements, and handling wait times. Each step is annotated with @Step and is converted into test steps by the Gauge framework.
Spec (.spec) File
A Specification (Spec) file in the Gauge framework defines the test scenarios and the steps involved in them. It outlines how tests should be performed and ensures each test remains meaningful and traceable.
Concept (.cpt) File
Test Name and Description The heading explains what the test is about and which functionality is being tested. Each step is explained sequentially and the flow of the test is clearly defined.
