Supported Framework Versions & Execution Stacks
Overview
Testinium SUITE executes your test code within a predefined and controlled environment.
Because the execution layer is fully managed by Testinium SUITE:
- Your test code must align with our supported framework versions
- Arbitrary version combinations are not supported
- Only predefined execution stacks are guaranteed to work
If you use one of the supported stacks below, your tests will run without compatibility issues.
Supported Execution Stacks
We support two validated version combinations.
Your project must match one of these stacks exactly.
Compatibility Note:
If you are using Selenium 4 / Appium 2, you must use Stack 2 (Java 21).
Projects using Selenium 3 / Appium 1 / API are compatible with both Stack 1 and Stack 2.
Minor version differences may still work if they are compatible with the versions listed below. For example, Selenium 4.35 is generally compatible with Selenium 4.19.1.

Supports Selenium 3, Appium 1, and API testing projects.

Important Rules
1. Use a Complete Stack
You must use one full stack as-is.
Mixing versions between stacks is not supported.
Example (NOT supported):
- Java 21 + gauge-java 0.9.1 ❌
- Java 11 + gauge-java 1.0.1 ❌
2. Framework Versions Are Fixed
Even if newer versions exist:
- They are not automatically supported
- Compatibility is only guaranteed for listed versions
3. Execution Model Constraint
Testinium SUITE:
- Builds your project
- Executes your tests
- Manages runtime environment
Because of this:
- Version flexibility is intentionally limited
- Stability and predictability are prioritized
What This Means for You
- If your project matches one of the stacks → ✔ No compatibility issues expected
- If your project differs → ⚠ Adjustments may be required
Recommendation
Choose the stack that matches your project setup:
- Java 11 projects → use Stack 1
- Java 21 projects → use Stack 2
- C# projects -> use Stack 3
