Version 2.12.0 (Aug 2026)
Release Date: 06.08.2026
New Features
QR Image Injection Support
- Introduced Image Injection support for compatible Android and iOS applications.
- Users can now enable QR Image Injection while uploading a supported APK or IPA and provide an image during a LiveTesting session to use as the application's camera input. This enables testing scenarios that require camera-based QR code scanning, without physically presenting the image to the device camera.
- Supported image formats include .png and .jpeg, with a maximum file size of 5 MB.
Screenshot Editing and Annotation
- Added editing capabilities to LiveTesting screenshots.
- Users can now crop captured screenshots, add multiple red rectangle annotations, reposition and resize annotations, and download the edited image. This makes it easier to highlight important areas and share more meaningful test evidence.
Improvements
Automatic Pause for Inactive Sessions
- Introduced automatic session pause behavior for inactive LiveTesting sessions.
- When a session remains unused for 5 minutes, it is paused without ending the session. Users can resume the session when they return, while unnecessary resource usage is reduced during inactive periods.
Synchronized Logout with Testinium
- Improved the logout experience between LiveTesting and Testinium.
- Logging out from LiveTesting now also ends the related Testinium session, helping ensure users are fully signed out and required to authenticate again when returning.
Improved App Upload File Validation
- Improved application upload validation to prevent unsupported file formats from being uploaded.
- LiveTesting now validates application files based on the selected platform and only allows supported formats, helping users identify invalid files before the upload process begins.
Improved Touch and Swipe Responsiveness
- Improved the way touch, long-press, and swipe interactions are transmitted during LiveTesting sessions.
- This update provides more reliable and responsive device control while preserving existing interaction behavior.
iOS Network Throttling Support
- Restored network simulation support for iOS devices in LiveTesting.
- Users can now apply supported network profiles during a session to test application behavior under different connection conditions. Network settings are automatically returned to their default state when the session ends.
